About the Role
We are hiring a Production Manager to join us on our mission to provide 100% fresh, filtered air and smart technology for maximum comfort and value. This role will use continuous improvement methods to ensure a safe workplace, increase capacity and productivity, achieve cost saving, improve product quality, and achieve on-time delivery of our customer orders.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and coaching to supervisors, warehouse, and Production employees.
- Oversee and manage the operational activities in the plant to achieve efficient and effective execution and delivery of results.
- Direct unit supervisors in establishing and maintaining production schedules within established procedures and budgets.
- Assist in the planning for operational expansion and scale-up into new and larger facilities.
- Develop roles, responsibilities, performance reviews and compensation evaluations for the Production team.
- Recruit or assist in recruitment of new production employees.
- Work closely with Engineering, Sales, Product Development, Health & Safety, and Quality Assurance to ensure operational targets are met.
- Oversee the use of Oxygen8’s ERP system (Epicor) by the Production Team.
- Review and improve our manufacturing processes, improvement projects, KPIs and metrics.
- Identify and suggest improvements to the Oxygen8 systems, processes and practices to improve & optimize effectiveness and efficiency.
- Monitor established performance indicators, including variance reports, production reports, quality reports, and injury reports.
- Build a culture of safety and continuous improvement to help create a safe and positive work environment for all employees.
- Ensure regulatory compliance with safety rules and regulations to eliminate incidents and injuries.
Experience and Skills
- 5+ years of managerial experience in a manufacturing environment with a track record of scaling capacity and achieving company goals.
- Experience mentoring, motivating and inspiring team members.
- Formal education in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or related subjects is an asset.
- Experience with 5S, Kaizen, Continuous Improvement initiatives and other Lean Manufacturing Principles.
- Positive attitude with an analytical and results oriented management style.
- Strong verbal and written communication and facilitation skills.
- High proficiency with computers and experience using ERP applications (Epicor would be an asset).

Annual Salary
- $100,000 to $125,000 based on experience.
Location
- Vancouver office (1575 Vernon Drive, Vancouver, BC)
Compensation
$100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
