About the Role 


The Accounting Clerk contributes to the overall success of the organization by providing ongoing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and general accounting support to the Finance & Accounting team. This position will be a part of the Finance and Accounting team working closely with Purchasing and Inventory departments and will be based out of our production facility office in Burnaby, BC.

In this role you will be reporting to the Controller, the Accounting Clerk is responsible for supporting a wide variety of tasks which will support the development and enhancement of the individual’s financial, technical and analytical skills. This position supports the accounting, reporting and finance streams and will perform other adhoc accounting duties as required.

Key Responsibilities 


  • Verify and enter supplier invoices in the ERP system, ensuring correct approval, coding, taxes, and matching to purchase orders.
  • Support timely invoicing of our customers and application of receipts in the ERP S
  • Reconcile supplier statements and address discrepancies.
  • Maintain the electronic filing system for supplier invoices.
  • Collect credit card receipts, code, reconcile and enter transactions in the ERP system.
  • Administer the Company’s expense policies and ensure expenses are reviewed and authorized.
  • Maintain and manage the general accounting email inbox.
  • Assist in supplier payment runs and ensure appropriate back-up is provided.
  • Adhere to the month-end closing schedule and assist with working papers and reconciliations.
  • Update accounting processes and documentation when needed.
  • Other duties as required.

Annual Salary:
  • $50,000 to $55,000 based on experience

Location and Hours:
  • On site 40 hours per week at our South Burnaby office at 5085 North Fraser Way V5J 0J2

Compensation

$50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
