About the Role


We are hiring an Inventory Control Manager to contribute to the overall success of the organization by ensuring inventory is accurate and available for the production team. You would be responsible for maximizing workflow by managing the schedule, coordinating with the Supply Chain team, Logistics Coordinator, and working with the Director of Manufacturing. 

Through consistent time management, you can help expedite the production process by providing accurate material ahead of time and communicating any changes to the planning and supply chain teams.

Key Responsibilities


  • Manages 5-8 full time direct reports. Management responsibilities include hiring, coaching, skills development, recognition and rewards, staff productivity and performance management.
  • Plans, organizes, staffs, directs and controls the day-to-day operations of the department; develops and implements policies and programs as necessary.
  • Prepares and reconciles required daily, weekly and monthly inventory and production reports.
  • Updates the ERP system and meets weekly with Procurement Team to ensure inventory accuracy for upcoming orders.
  • Coordinates and manages monthly/quarterly physical inventories and develops follow up reporting.
  • Gathers and analyzes data concerning operations, inventory control and customer requirements.
  • Performs internal audits and (additional) cycle counts to validate accuracy of cycle count process.
  • Ensures/reinforces that the Company employee culture is being fostered in the facility.
  • Facilitates regular safety meetings and assures the maintenance of a safe work environment.
  • Provides assistance for the Operations and/or Facility Manager on special projects as required.

Experience and Skills


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering or related field and 5 years of relevant experience.
  • In lieu of degree, high school diploma or GED and 10 years of relevant experience.
  • At least 3 to 5 years’ experience in a management/supervisory capacity, at department level.
  • At least 3 to 5 years’ experience in inventory control/stock accounting in a warehouse/distribution environment strongly preferred.
  • Previous Warehouse Management System / ERP based Warehouse Management System (WMS) - Epicor experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Lean or Six Sigma Methodologies.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Prioritization and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Strong systems background, familiar with Oracle preferred.
  • Ability to plan for spikes and lows in day-to-day business and experience with reading/analyzing forecasts.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, and the ability to effectively interact with customers and employees.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and user experience with Excel, Access, E-Mail, and Word Documents.
  • Valid Class 5 Drivers License.

Annual Salary:
  • $75,000 to $90,000 based on experience.

Location and Schedule:
  • Vancouver office (1575 Vernon Drive, Vancouver, BC)
  • On site, 40 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm (TBD)

Compensation

$75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
